Trip to Chicago!!!!!

We got back yesterday from a GREAT weekend in Chicago. It was a "girls weekend" plus my VERY generous dad. We drove in on Thursday night and spent Friday at American Girl and also shopped for bridesmaid dresses for my brother's wedding which will be in January. Saturday was spent going to the top of the Hancock Building and shopping for back to school clothes. Emily even got her ears pierced!!! We ended the trip with a carriage ride along Lake Michigan. It really was a trip that I know the girls will NEVER forget. Thanks Mom and Dad for such a great trip!!! You're the best Grandparents in the world!
Breakfast on the first morning!!
A walk in the sand on Lake Michigan!!
We love you Grandma!!!
All ready for American Girl.
Mark took this picture. Pretty cool!! The John Hancock building in the background!!!
Uncle Mark and soon to be Aunt Kelly joined us for the day in Chicago.
Emily with Molly!!!
Anna with Lanie
Lunch at American Girl was so much fun!!!
A quick group picture with Lanie!!!
Anna and Grandma playing games on her phone!!
The girls first cab ride. Shh!!! Don't tell daddy... we didn't have carseats!!!
They laughed the whole way!!
A quick stop at the lego store to look for a gift for Jake!!
Can you believe this... At dinner we looked on the wall by our table
and it said, Kelly loves Mark!!!
You can't be in Chicago without a night out for pizza with the family!!
The girls enjoyed writing on the walls and chairs!!
Anna and Grandpa Doug!!
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for bringing us to Chicago!!! You're the BEST!!!!
Looking out at the top of the Hancock Building.
A little foggy, but still a cool sight!!!
The girls thought it was too funny that they could pretend to be window washers!!

She was all smiles until the lady started walking over with the earring "gun"... and then....
Screams could be heard all throughout the Water Tower Mall. Seriously, we had a crowd!!! I told her she didn't have to do it but that I wasn't going to pay for it again so she quickly grabbed on to the bear and my hands and within seconds it was all over!!! Thank God, I never have to do that again!!!
Good choice of earrings, Emily. It will match everything because it has so many colors!!!
It only took her a couple minutes and she was ALL smiles!
We ended the wonderful weekend with a carriage ride along Lake Michigan. SOOO fun!!!
