Building a Snowman

The kids have wanted to build a snowman all winter. We certainly have had enough snow to make one but it has been too cold. I'm happy to take the kids sledding and out to play in the snow but I decided that they needed their daddy to build the snowman. He kept explaining to them that the snow had to be melting a little bit to enable it to "stick together." So... on the first "somewhat" warm day of the year, Scott took them out to build a snowman. I couldn't believe it but Jake even went out with them. He usually doesn't like getting cold and wet but decided that since daddy was going, he would go too. They played outside for almost two hours. His favorite part was throwing snowballs at his daddy. The girls thought that was pretty fun too. It was a much needed break for mommy and such a fun time for the kids. They built the snowman last weekend. This weekend we have actually had some pretty warm days and the snowman is starting to melt. At least we have the picture to remember the fun memories.

The snowman building process started with Emily losing her boot. Never a good sign!!! Smiles...

YAH!!! Jake finally went out into the snow. He had a great time.

Working hard...
Still working hard.
