Playing in the Snow...

The weather has been REALLY cold in Iowa lately. Last week we had tons of ice, sleet and snow on top of it all which caused a big mess. Today it is 54 and melting, so this morning we took the kids into Duaine and Inge's backyard and took them sledding before all the snow was gone. They had such a great time. Last year Jake refused to wear boots so this was his first time playing in the snow. He fell a lot since it was so icy, but had a great time. The girls were in heaven as well.
All bundled up and ready to go.
How cute is this? I didn't even pose this picture, I swear.

The girls loved rolling down the hill. This brought back so many memories of my cousins and myself doing this is Grandma DeDe and Grandpa Dick's backyard when we were little.

Daddy and Grandma are the best helpers.

Jake was falling everywhere so Grandma helped him up and down the hill.

Emily the snow princesses in her pinks and purples.

I think the smile says it all.

Anna LOVED it and would have loved a much bigger hill!!!!
