Last night we had the swim team banquet for the winter swim team. The kids had a great time seeing their swim friends again and they each received some great awards and prizes. I, of course, forgot my camera so a huge thanks to Michelle for the great photos of the kids. More photos to come soon...
The night started with Jake winning a door prize- a swim cap!!
Anna won a door prize too- A Walnut Creek Swim Bag. A little later in the evening they give out "silly awards" and it is no surprise that she won "most broken bones during the swim season". Anna also won the "Coaches Award" which was a HUGE surprise to us. It is awarded to the swimmer within each age group that shows the Y values throughout the swim season. Quite an honor for her and she got a trophy which she was excited about!!!
As the awards kept coming... I kept thinking... Poor Emily... Poor Emily...
And then... Emily was awarded with a super cool towel that says record breaker on it because one of her relays broke a record at the Regional Swim Meet.
So... all the kids went home happy which meant I went home happy!!!!
Congrats to my little swimmers!!!! Two more weeks off and we are back in the pool!!!
