A trip to the lakes

We went to the lakes for the weekend for the first time this summer. We had a great time and the weather was awesome for this time of year. The kids played on the beach and got wet, but mom and dad weren't getting in. It was only 65 degrees in the water but the kids didn't care. I forgot the take my camera but we are headed back in a few weeks so I plan to take it and capture the kids doing all their favorite things. (boating, swimming, and fishing). Scott and I celebrated our 10th anniversary while we were at the lakes. We went for a nice dinner and movie and reminisced about how fast these ten years have gone. We are so lucky to still have such a fantastic relationship ten years later. I'm a lucky lady. The kids were so excited to have caught some fish while we were at the lake. Anna has turned into quite a fisherman and really enjoys it. Emily and Jake enjoy it for a short amount of time and then want to come into the cabin for a snack. We are home this coming weekend because Scott is on call but plan to head to the lakes the following weekend.
