Halloween Fun

In Des Moines for some strange reason, we celebrate Halloween and go trick-or-treating one night early. They call it Beggar's Night and the kids get to trick-or-treat from 6-8. Each year we have a neighborhood party at my friend Carrie's house and eat hot dogs and munchies before they head out to collect candy. It gives the kids a chance to see all their friend's costumes and this year we had the BEST weather. We had over 100 people show up and had a great time. Scott got the flu last night and was sicker than I have ever seen him, so he stayed on the couch during the Halloween festivities. Grandma Inge went around with me to take the kids door to door and Grandpa Duaine was a trooper. He handed out candy to hundreds of neighbors. Enjoy the pictures.
Anna was "Anna Montana" She insisted on telling everyone she wasn't Hannah, she was Anna. Her cast blended in well. She LOVED having long hair. The poor thing. Her hair just doesn't grow.
Thomas the Train is a hit for all three year old boys. We called her "Emily, the good witch." If only all witches could be this cute.

Jake and his buddy Claire. Won't this be cute to show to them when they go to prom together when they get older?

Girls rule this neighborhood. Poor Jake. I guess when he is older he'll have his pick from a large group of beautiful woman.

Kennedy, the wolverine, Anna Montana, Alex, the princess, Emily the good witch and Jake the Train

A small group of the kids. Our neighborhood has 115 homes and at least 90% have kids school- aged.
