My cousin, Emily, got married in South Carolina this weekend to her new husband, Matt. The wedding was GORGEOUS, and they were so kind to ask the kids to be in their wedding. They all made it up the aisle. I was a little worried about Jake throwing one of his tantrums, but with a little shove and a close of the door so he wouldn't see me, he followed the others down the aisle and looked handsome. The girls LOVED their dresses and looked beautiful as well. They felt like princesses getting their hair done and getting to dress up. Thanks Emily and Matt for letting them be a part of your special day.
We had such a great time in South Carolina. It is so beautiful. There were no issues the entire three days until we had to come home. Our flight out of Charelston was delayed and then cancelled due to mechanical issues. AHHH!!! We had already been at the airport for 4 hours when they told us it was cancelled. We then rushed to get new tickets and they had to reroute us through Atlanta and then into Kansas City. There were no flights to Des Moines yesterday and Scott had to be back because he had many surgeries scheduled today, so we opted to fly into Kansas City. We got in at 11:00pm... and we were home in Des Moines in bed at 2:00 in the morning. We have tired kids today... but it was definitely worth it. The weekend was SO fun.
