Toothless Emily...

We had quite a day today. When we were leaving school Emily tripped on a concrete step and fell. When I heard the LOUD scream... I picked her up and noticed that her two front teeth were much longer than normal and sticking back in her mouth. She was very upset and after controlling the massive amount of blood... off we drove to the dentist. (Thanks god for friends. My friends were amazing and thanks a TON to Carrie for taking Jake for the afternoon.) So... the dentist took one look and said, "Oh, this doesn't look good." He took x-rays and determined that there were no broken bones (thank God...) But... she did need to have them pulled. My dear friend and dentist, Stephanny, came in on her day off to take out Emily's teeth. It was very emotional but she is doing well tonight and her teeth are under her pillow waiting for the tooth fairy. She was able to eat dinner tonight and the best part of the day came after her bath when for the first time she looked in the mirror. She just kept smiling at herself in the mirror. She certainly looks different...and I'm sure after the swelling goes down we'll love the smile of our four year old that looks like a first grader. We leave for Arizona on Thursday, so we'll be updating with pictures soon. Hugs to you all... Allison
