Jake fell off the monkey bars at school last week and broke his left arm. I got a call from the nurse at 11:30 and I could tell by her tone that I needed to get to school fast. She didn't want to say it was broken on the phone because Jake was standing right with her, but I could tell from her tone that it was broken. We went right to the orthopedic office. We know that office too well!!! The doctor took one look at his Xray and said he would need to head to the ER because they were going to have to put him under local sedation to "realign" the bone into place. Poor kid was so brave and only shed a few tears. He is adjusting VERY well to the cast and will get to take it off in about four week. This was broken arm number six for the Hamling kids!! Hoping it is our last!!!
