Yesterday was the girls state swim meet and Anna and Emily did a GREAT job. Together they dropped over 10 seconds and had a great day of swimming. There were 596 swimmers at the meet and the girls got to wear boas and tiaras during the parade of athletes at the beginning of the meet. They loved hanging out with the friends and swam their hearts out. Anna had her best time of the season in her 50 backstroke and had she chose to swim that event at state and got the same time as in her relay, she would have placed 2nd in the state. Anna was in the Top 10 in 4 of her 5 events and Emily's relays did great as well and she knocked off 4 seconds on her 100 I.M. We are off to MN on Friday for the regional swim meet and the girls are most excited to play with their friends at the hotel... and will hopefully knock more time off their events at the swim meet. Way to go Hamling Fish!!!!
