Today is a day Anna has been dreaming about for many weeks. She was FINALLY able to get into the pool. We went to the doctor this morning and he said she was ready for the short arm water cast!!! I have never seen such a BIG smile on Anna's face. Emily was already at swim practice so we drove to meet her and Anna waited until the swim team was done and then she was SWIMMING IN THE POOL!!!! We are home now for lunch and are planning to head back to the pool for the afternoon. I am so glad she is finally going to get to swim with her friends, although I may miss bonding with her on the side of the pool. We definitely have had plenty of mommy/daughter time at the pool. This cast will stay on for three weeks. She will get it off five days before she goes to overnight camp. AHHH!!!!
I hope the x-rays show that I am OK.... I NEED TO GET INTO THE POOL!!!
