We had a MAJOR snow storm here in Des Moines the other day. It was the worst storm in 30 years. We got 16 inches of snow and had blizzard conditions because the winds were so bad. The kids missed two and a half days of school. We had lots of great family bonding time in the house. Even Scott's work got cancelled which NEVER happens.

Sledding in the front yard NEVER happens. It was strange to have enough snow to be able to sled in the front of the house. It was perfect for the kids because the hill was small to climb.

Here is Scott trying to clear the driveway. He basically had to snow blow the entire street because there was no ending point. The drifts were so high from the winds. He was outside for three hours!!!
