All three kids had a GREAT state swim meet last weekend. The highlight of the weekend was Anna breaking the state and team record in the 200 IM. She has been working really hard all season and it finally paid off at the state meet. She was THRILLED with her time. She broke the team record in the 100 fly as well and also both her relays broke team records set 12 years ago. Emily had a fantastic meet and dropped TONS of time in all her events. Her highlight was placing second in the 50 breaststroke. She's had a great season. Jake dropped time in his events too and ended up getting fourth in the 50 breast while at the bottom of his age group. He was the fastest 11 year old in both the 50 and 100 breaststroke at the meet so he's hopeful for a good outcome next year when he's 12 and at the top of his age group. Way to go kids! Dad and I are so proud of you!!
Kristin is Anna and Sophie's strength coach! She was Anna's first hug after breaking the record. She came running from the other end of the pool! She's a wonderful coach and friend!
