Anna and Jake have been getting allergy shots for two years. When they first started Molly was a newborn and deep down I knew that Emily needed them too but her fear of blood and needles was not something I wanted to deal with when I had a newborn to care for while at the doctor's office. So I decided to hold off on Emily until she was a little older. This spring was HORRIBLE for her allergies and she spent about a month with swollen eyes so bad she looked like she had pink eye. I told her I thought we needed to see the allergist and all she insisted was that I not lie to her! She told me that if she was going to have to have the back testing done or need a shot, she wanted me to tell her the truth. Well... the truth has worked and she did so well at her first set of shots yesterday. No tears... no complaining... just ONE BRAVE EMILY!!! I was so proud of her!
We have the BEST neighborhood! It is way too hot right now to play at the park or in the backyard, but the girls love playing barbies on the porch with the neighbor girls and even Molly is starting to play with them too.
Anna has ALWAYS wanted a dog. Scott and I love dogs but know how much work it is to take care of them and with four kids I don't think we have the time to train a dog or give it the attention it needs. We are NEVER home. Our next door neighbors just got a dog and Anna LOVES taking care of it every night.
