We took a weekend off from the lakes to stay home for the kids final swim meet this morning. They did GREAT. Anna was trying to get to a higher "level" in breaststroke and did great and accomplished her goal by over 2 seconds. Jake swam better than he ever has and got to a Level 4 and Emily was 2 hundredths of a second from getting her goal of Level 5. They all three improved TONS this summer and can't wait for winter swimming. I'm very proud of my little Hamling fish and also very proud of Miss Molly who sat through many swim meets over the last few months. She sure is a trooper in this heat. The awards banquet is Sunday and then next week is their favorite week of the summer... VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!!! I can't believe how fast summer is going.
This video is of Anna swimming freestyle which is one of her best events. She has been swimming against Mary Martin all season and has never beat her. Anna is VERY competitive and had her best time ever today after finally beating her friend! She was certainly all smiles when she got done swimming. She likes to swim next to the fast girls where as Emily tries to get into heats with younger kids!! They couldn't be any different.
This is video of Jake swimming freestyle. I wish I had videoed him at his first meet this year. He has improved SOOOO much and we are so proud of him. He got to Level 4 today and was all smiles that he earned a DMG sweatshirt.
Here is Jake in backstroke. At the beginning of the season he barely moved on his back. GREAT JOB TODAY, JAKE!!!
