Mother's Day Fun!

I have had a great Mother's Day weekend. Yesterday I went to lunch with my two dear friends, Meg and Meggan. We had lunch downtown and then treated ourselves to a pedicure. When I got home, Scott was doing yard work and I came in the house and as I turned into the kitchen, I noticed something strange sitting on the deck. It was our new grill!!! I have been asking for a new grill for a few years and he finally got it. The kids were so excited to show it to me. Sounds like kind of a weird gift for Mother's Day, but I was SOOO excited. Scott loves to use his charcoal grill but I can't use it and when he is late coming home from work, I always want to use the grill and have things ready when he gets home... Now I can!!! YAH!!! We had friends over for dinner to try it out last night and it worked really well.
Today we went to church and then to brunch with two great family friends. The kids had such a great time seeing their friends at brunch. I think the people around us were glad to see us go... but we had a great time!!! We are headed to Anna's birthday party in a few minutes! 20 girls for a swimming party was not such a good thing to plan on Mother's Day. But... oh well... It's all about the kids, right?
